At the Castle Cooking Club, you\u2019ll learn to cook in a place where exceptional meals have been prepared for centuries. Under the guidance of our castle chef, you\u2019ll discover new ingredients, recipes, and cooking techniques step by step. You\u2019ll cook the dishes yourself, taste what you\u2019ve made, and learn more about the flavors and eating habits of the past. <\/p>\n

Flavors of the past with contemporary twist<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each Kasteel Cooking Club has its own theme, tailored to the season and the flavors of the moment. Over the course of eight classes, you\u2019ll learn more and more about ingredients, cooking techniques, and unique recipes. We cook with a variety of themes, seasonal produce, and ingredients from our own castle garden. This makes every class a new culinary adventure. At the end of the series, we organize a festive tasting event for parents and guardians. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Theme 2: Winter<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s cold and chilly outside, but inside the castle kitchen it\u2019s warm and inviting. The \u201cwinter\u201d theme focuses on pies and pastries, spices, soups, stews, and winter vegetables such as celeriac, parsnips, green cabbage, and carrots. We\u2019ll also explore old techniques and cooking methods that helped preserve food longer in a medieval castle. <\/em><\/p>\n
