Morning
Start your day in the castle. Walk through towers, halls and corridors and discover how people lived, worked and defended here. With the audio tours you will hear stories about knights, residents and the Muider Circle. Take your time: getting lost is part of the experience!
Afternoon
After the castle, it’s time for outdoors. Stroll through the castle gardens, past forgotten vegetables and herbs, and enjoy peace and quiet. Have lunch or a break at museum café The Garden Room, overlooking the greenery and the castle. Your children can have fun in the wooden playground while you enjoy the outdoors at one of the picnic tables. Don’t forget to take a look at the Water Pavilion via the ramparts.
Evening
End the day in Muiden or at the Muiderslot itself. There are regular concerts, performances or other activities. Check the activities calendar for current information. A walk, bike or dine along the waterfront or visit to the historic town will complete your day.

Muiden is a historic fortified town with a cozy harbor, hiking trails and restaurants. By ferry from Muiden you can also easily visit the historic fortress island of Pampus, in the middle of the IJmeer.

Yes. You can park for free at P1 (Maxisweg/Weesperweg) or at P+R Muiden. From there, walk towards the castle.
