Discover fun activities for children at Muiderslot
Visiting Muiderslot with children
Children see knights, towers and secret passageways. Adults discover stories, tranquility and space. The Muiderslot is a place full of adventure. Explore, climb towers, walk across bridges and play outside on the grounds. Wander together through a castle and gardens where history becomes tangible.
Get creative in the Castle Workshop
On weekends you can get creative yourself in the castle workshop, inspired by the castle and the seasons. Or come during one of the school vacations, when there are various (guided) creative activities.
Nature playground
In our green playground children can have fun among the cannons, the climbing ship, the slide and the willow tunnel. The playground is adventurous and accessible to everyone. Meanwhile, parents can relax on the terrace of Museum Café The Garden Room, with a view of playing children.

Are you creative, curious and live near the Muiderslot? Then maybe the Castle Clubs are for you! Join the Castle Art Club or the Castle Cooking Club. For kids ages 8 to 12 who like a little adventure, dirty hands and lots of fun. More about the Castle Clubs at the Muiderslot.
Children’s theater in the castle chapel
Every first Sunday of the month, the beautiful castle chapel turns into a cozy children’s theater. Come and listen to adventures, fairy tales or musical performances. Suitable for young children and fun for the whole family.
Activities for children
The Muiderslot regularly organizes special events for children and families such as a Knights and Princesses Weekend, Ascension Day or Sinterklaas at the Muiderslot. During these events there is plenty to do and experience. Think sword fighting demonstrations, costume parties, workshops, interactive troubadours, theater, music or a knight’s school.
