A unique narrative that blends fairy tales and personal stories

Performance: The Djinn’s Tail, 1,001 Nights

Princesses trying to save their lives through their stories, kings who outwit djinns, and giant birds hunting elephants. In *The Tail of the Djinn*, Sahand Sahebdivani brings the ancient tales of *One Thousand and One Nights* to life. But his narrative goes beyond mere fairy tales. The magical adventures are interwoven with the history of his own family, with stories about the Iranian Revolution, imprisonment under the Shah of Persia, and the flight to the Netherlands.

This gives rise to a unique narrative in which fantasy and reality intersect, and age-old stories are intertwined with personal memories.
