Castle Cooking Club
At the Castle Cooking Club, you’ll learn to cook in a place where exceptional meals have been prepared for centuries. Under the guidance of our castle chef, you’ll discover new ingredients, recipes, and cooking techniques step by step. You’ll cook for yourself, taste what you make, and learn more about the flavors and eating habits of the past.
Flavors of the past with contemporary twist
Each Kasteel Cooking Club has its own theme, tailored to the season and the flavors of the moment. Over the course of eight classes, you’ll learn more and more about ingredients, cooking techniques, and unique recipes. We cook with a variety of themes, seasonal produce, and ingredients from our own castle garden. This makes every class a new culinary adventure. At the end of the series, we organize a festive tasting event for parents and guardians.
Theme 3: Spring
In the spring, the gardens of Muiderslot awaken from their winter slumber. The greenery begins to reappear. The spring theme delves deeper into the use of fresh herbs; we’ll make our own cheese and get to work with radishes, asparagus, beans, and peas, among other things. We’ll also devote an entire class to fish!

Practical information
- For children 8 to 12 years old
- Series of 8 lessons
- Fridays from 3 p.m.-5 p.m.
- Location: the Castle Workshop of the Muiderslot
- Cost: €200 per series of 8 classes (this includes all ingredients, materials, and use of the professional kitchen).
- A cooking year consists of four themed blocks, each with eight lessons. You can register for each block individually or sign your child up for the entire year.
- Do you enroll your child for the whole year? Then you get 10% discount
- A minimum of 8 participants, a maximum of 14 per club
