Fancy a special taste experience? Step into the time machine of your taste buds during a Historical Tasting at the Muiderslot. Our castle chef will take you on a culinary journey through the Middle Ages and the 17th century with stories, tastes and smells you won’t experience anywhere else.

What was on a castle lord’s table? What herbs grew in the castle garden? And what was prepared with them? During a tour of the castle and gardens (weather permitting) you will discover the eating habits of the past, from the kitchen to the dining room. Then you’ll slide in for a tasting full of historic flavors, tailored to the season or a special theme.
