Mission

The Muiderslot is the oldest and best preserved castle in the Netherlands. It is a magical place on the water in the middle of greenery where visitors can discover, enjoy and experience. We offer a unique combination of history, nature and activity.

Vision

Muiderslot is the toughest Rijksmuseum in the Netherlands. In our own way, with an open mind and from different perspectives, we connect a broad and diverse public with the castle, collection and natural surroundings. We are open to (unexpected) encounters, collaborations and perspectives and create space for experimentation and innovation.

Core values

Our starting point are four core values: tough, strong-minded, open and doing. These values form the DNA of everything we do. We sail our own course, together with partners from outside the castle walls who embrace our core values. With them we like to work together sustainably.
