Every first Sunday of the month there is a theater performance for children in the castle chapel of the Muiderslot. Please note: this programme is in Dutch.
On April 5, the exciting and musical performance The Pied Piper of Hamelin is on the program.
In the town of Hamelin, people are so busy that no one cleans up their messes. The result? Rats. Lots and lots of rats. When the mysterious Pied Piper appears, the town promises him a high reward if he solves the problem. But when Hamelin fails to keep that promise, the Pied Piper decides to teach the inhabitants a lesson they won’t soon forget….
Not to worry: in this friendly, humorous version, of course, the children return safely. Previously played with great success, the show is back, full of compelling stories and wondrous music that no rat – and no child – can resist.
The narrator this afternoon is Eric Borrias: one of the Netherlands’ most beloved storytellers for more than thirty years. With his expressive storytelling style, rich voice and lively characters, he lets children and parents enjoy from the first minute.
