Craft Demonstrations
Learn about the lives of medieval artisans and knights during demonstrations of weaving, bookbinding, and chain mail making. There will also be a rope maker on hand who can teach you the trade. The event offers a unique opportunity to see the past come to life. The crafts will be demonstrated by the Hanzecompagnie.

Medieval Music
Enjoy medieval music all weekend long. The music takes you back in time and fosters a sense of connection and fun.

Knights’ Shows
The Eeuwig Vermaak Foundation presents thrilling knight shows for all ages! Are you up for it?

Knight’s Course
Children between the ages of 4 and 8 can have fun on the Knight’s Course.

Erik the Viking
Erik the Viking is an experienced performer who has made a name for himself both at home and abroad. As a fire breather, stilt walker, and juggler, he knows exactly how to surprise his audience. With spectacular fire shows—ranging from fire eating and fire poi to impressive pyrotechnics and, of course, fire breathing—he creates an unforgettable experience,

Emma the Troubadour
Emma the Troubadour walks around the castle grounds with an antique handcart full of instruments such as an accordion, a hurdy-gurdy, a rebec (a small violin), a drum, a one-handed flute, and a lute. She sings old folk songs while one or more puppets magically dance along to the music.
For the kids, there’s a basket full of little instruments to play with, as well as ribbons and scarves to dance with!
Come in costume
Dig through your costume box and come dressed as a knight or a princess. Explore the castle and imagine what it would be like to live there as a knight or a princess. There are also free audio tours available to help you get to know the castle even better.
Accessibility
This weekend, special attention will be given to visitors with visual impairments. That’s because various crafts and objects are not just meant to be looked at, but also to be touched and explored up close. This way, you can learn about the materials, techniques, and objects that were part of medieval life.
Among other things, you can touch and explore the rope-making workshop, wool felting, ceramics, the armorer’s workshop, tapestries, the plague doctor’s workshop, bookbinding, leatherworking, chain mail, knight’s armor, the chain library, and sailcloth. This way, history comes to life not only through what you see, but also through what you can touch and experience.
