At Pentecost, things change Muiderslot into a lively medieval scene. Knights, damsels, music, and entertainment bring the atmosphere of the Middle Ages to life. Throughout the grounds, there’s plenty to see and do, from demonstrations and performances to crafts, fire shows, and activities for all ages.
Bataille Knight School
There’s a real knight school just for kids ages 4 to 12! Learn the basics of swordfighting, and afterward, you’ll be knighted! Location: picnic area

Erik the Viking
Erik the Viking is an experienced performer who has made a name for himself both at home and abroad. As a fire breather, stilt walker, and juggler, he knows exactly how to surprise his audience. With spectacular fire shows—ranging from fire eating and fire poi to impressive pyrotechnics and, of course, fire breathing—he creates an unforgettable experience.

The Fools – Acrobats
The Zotten are a medieval theater troupe that travels from place to place, showcasing their talents everywhere they go. They’re sharp, funny, and always on the move. Through improvisation and interaction, they effortlessly respond to what’s happening around them—no two performances are the same. Their acts are inspired by old stories and crafts, yet feel fresh and contemporary. Unexpected moments and, above all, lots of fun.

Troubadour Lucas Florent
Troubadour Lucas Florent wanders around the grounds of Muiderslot Castle, armed with his guitar and his voice. With catchy songs and playful stories, he brings a cheerful touch to the atmosphere. He engages his audience and adapts his performance to what’s happening around him.

Get started yourself! Design your own family coat of arms, create a medieval keepsake, and let your creativity run wild with a variety of materials. This is for everyone, and there’s always something to make.
