Thread by Thread: weaving like a Medieval Master

Meet a true medieval craft and get to work with wool and weaving techniques yourself. Weaving was an indispensable trade in the Middle Ages: without weavers there would be no clothes, no blankets and no beautifully decorated castles.

During this workshop you will discover how fabrics used to be made and experiment with shapes, patterns and textures. Thread by thread you will create your own mini tapestry, unique and entirely homemade.

Practical information

• On weekdays daily at noon, 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
• Tickets available at the box office
• You pay what you can and want, with €3.50 p.p. as a guide amount (excluding valid admission ticket)
• At the Castle Workshop
• Suitable for everyone from 8 years of age
