Culture Education with Quality (CmK)

With the scheme Cultuure Education with Quality (CmK), the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science stimulates sustainable collaborations between schools and the local cultural field. For the municipality of Gooise Meren, Rijksmuseum Muiderslot is the local project leader.

Culture Education with Quality (CmK)

As project leader CmK, the Muiderslot supports schools in developing and implementing cultural plans, makes connections between education and cultural partners, and organizes knowledge sharing and training. The goal: to firmly anchor cultural education in the curriculum so that every child has access to good and meaningful cultural education.

The Muiderslot collaborates within CmK with local music, dance and theater schools, museums and art teachers. Primary, specialized and secondary schools can participate in CmK.

CmK offers:

Program development cultural education for PO, SO, VO and V(S)O

  • CmK Partnership: Two-year process in which school and local cultural partner work intensively together to create a customized program based on a shared demand.
  • CmK program for primary education
  • Customized projects

Embedding arts and cultural education in schools

  • Participation in the training to become a ‘Cultural Coordinator at school’
  • Using the Culture Plan Canvas
  • Expert advice and process guidance in rolling out the Culture Plan Canvas
  • Twice a year ICC Knowledge Workshop and networking meeting

Expertise Promotion

  • (Team) trainings for educational and cultural partners
  • Co-teaching programs for implementation of art subject methods
