Culture Education with Quality (CmK)
With the scheme Cultuure Education with Quality (CmK), the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science stimulates sustainable collaborations between schools and the local cultural field. For the municipality of Gooise Meren, Rijksmuseum Muiderslot is the local project leader. As project leader CmK, the Muiderslot supports schools in developing and implementing cultural plans, makes connections between education and cultural partners, and organizes knowledge sharing and training. The goal: to firmly anchor cultural education in the curriculum so that every child has access to good and meaningful cultural education.
The Muiderslot collaborates within CmK with local music, dance and theater schools, museums and art teachers. Primary, specialized and secondary schools can participate in CmK.
ICC Training ‘t Gooi 2026/2027
As a teacher, do you believe that arts and culture education is not a secondary matter but a priority for the students at your school? If so, join the ICC training program “’t Gooi 2026–2027.” This training provides insight into the possibilities of arts and cultural education and inspires you to develop a vision supported by the entire team. Under the guidance of experienced trainers, you’ll work on a four-year cultural plan using Mural’s Cultural Plan Canvas, an online whiteboard application. With this cultural plan, the support of Cultuureducatie met Kwaliteit (CmK) in its implementation, and the exchange of knowledge with fellow ICC members from ’t Gooi during networking meetings, you’ll lay a solid foundation for sustainably embedding cultural education within your school’s curriculum.

Junior Guides
The Junior Guides program not only teaches history, but also helps children learn responsibility and leadership. Eighth-grade students take on the role of museum docents for one afternoon. After completing a training session, they guide visitors through the castle. The program has a theatrical flair and fits perfectly with the Muiderslot, the oldest stage in the Netherlands.
