Getting there

Muiderslot Castle has a unique location, surrounded, surrounded by water and greenery. Whether you come by bike, public transport or car: this way you can easily find your way to the castle.

I will come by bike

From Amsterdam, a beautiful cycling route is set out to Muiderslot Castle. You cycle along water and greenery, with the castle as your final destination. There is also a bicycle route through the Vecht region that passes by Muiderslot.

I will come by public transportation

From Amsterdam Centraal or Utrecht Centraal travel by train to Weesp. From Weesp station, take bus 110 to Muiden Centrum stop. From there it is about a 10-minute walk to the Muiderslot. You can also take an OV-fiets from station Weesp to Muiden.
From Amsterdam Amstel station, buses 320, 322 and 327 run regularly to P+R Muiden. From there you can walk (about 30 minutes) or change to bus 110. For up-to-date travel information, visit www.ov9292.nl.

I will come by car

From the A1 take exit 3 Muiden/Weesp. There is a limited number of paid parking spaces in the center of Muiden. The rate is €2.40 per hour or €21.60 for a day pass. We therefore advise visitors to park outside the center. You can park for free at parking lot P1 (Maxisweg/Weesperweg), about a 15-minute walk from the castle. P+R Muiden (Papelaan) is also free; from there it is a 30-minute walk. Visitors with a disabled parking permit can park for free at the entrance to the castle.

I am coming by ferry

From April through October, Veerdienst Amsterdam sails every Saturday and Sunday from the port of Amsterdam IJburg to the Muiderslot. During school vacations in region North you can also sail from Tuesday to Friday. For more information on times, prices and reservations, visit the website of the Veerdienst. Departure from Krijn Taconiskade 124a, Amsterdam (Tram 26 from Amsterdam CS, get off at stop Lumièrestraat).

Would you like to bring your bicycle to explore the area from the Muiderslot? Ask about the possibilities at the Ferry Service.
