Castle Clubs Muiderslot
Castle Art Club
Under the guidance of an artist, you get to work on your own in a multi-week course. Each meeting we start with a visit to a special object in the castle, after which you will get to work yourself with techniques such as graphics, paper making or screen printing. You will make art with historical materials and conclude the series with a festive exhibition for parents and family!
Old techniques and new art
In this creative course, you’ll dive into the world of ancient techniques and new art. You will make your own paint from historical pigments, print patterns with flowers from the castle garden, get to work with a real etching press and much more! Our visual arts teacher leads the club along with a different guest artist each series. The castle, nature and history are your inspiration.
Besides all the making and discovering, it is also fun: there is room to experiment, to work together and to show your work. Each series ends with a small exhibition for parents and family.

Castle Cooking Club
Do you love to cook, are curious and live near the Muiderslot? You will cook together with our castle chef and colleague from the education team in our historic castle kitchen with ingredients and flavors from the past. Learn how people used to eat, discover special herbs from our own garden and make your own Muiderslot dish. The cooking club is fun, educational and delicious! For children aged 8 to 12 who like a bit of adventure, dirty hands and lots of fun. Sign up!
Flavors of the past with contemporary twist
We work with seasonal ingredients and recipes, so the recipes keep changing throughout the year.
From old-fashioned pancakes with a twist to spices from faraway lands – each class is a culinary adventure. At the end of each series, we host a festive tasting for parents.

Practical information
- For children 8 to 12 years old

- Location: the Castle Workshop of the Muiderslot
- Cost: €150 per series of 6 lessons
- Do you enroll your child for the whole year? Then you get 10% discount
- Minimum 10 participants, maximum 15 per club
