Exhibition: Soft!

From January 16 to March 22, 2026, the temporary exhibition Soft! will be on display at the Muiderslot! With Soft! the Muiderslot brings back a vibrant art form within its ancient walls.
Exhibition Soft! On the wall hang blue-and-green rugs of a flower and a bridge. In the hall are historic harnesses.

Textile art at the Muiderslot.

Where once rich tapestries exuded warmth, status and craft, now several contemporary textile artists show how powerful, innovative and surprisingly modern textile art is today. In collaboration with Rademakers Gallery, we present a special exhibition that invites you to look at textiles with new eyes.

Tentoostelling Soft!. Aan de wand hangen grote, gestructureerde kleden. In het midden van de ruimte staat een glazen vitrine met grote donkerbruine kisten.
Tentoostelling Soft! in de Prinsenkamer. Aan de muur hangt een kunstwerk dat lijkt op een bloemkool of broccoli, gemaakt van groen textiel.
Tentoonstelling Soft!. Centraal in de kamer staat een glazen vitrine met een sculptuur. Aan de linkermuur hangt een wandkleed.
Een kunstwerk van de tentoostelling Soft!. Het zijn vier textielsculpturen die op een houten tafel staan, in blauw, roze, licht oranje en rood.
