Tasting with the castle chef of the Muiderslot.

During the tastings, you’ll get a tour of the castle and gardens (weather permitting), followed by a historical tasting. How did castle dwellers used to cook and what did they eat? What did the poor eat, what did the rich eat? How were the herbs from the garden used? What culinary stories do the paintings in the castle tell? And what was actually drunk with food?

During this tasting, the castle chef will tell you all about the food culture of the Middle Ages and the 17th century. And that each season based on a different theme.
