In this interactive tour, students dive into the colorful history of the castle, from the Middle Ages to the present. Together with our museum docents, students look for traces of former residents. They discover how people lived and worked in and around the castle. Are you working on the theme of the Middle Ages or the 17th century in your classroom? Let us know, so we can adapt the program accordingly.

Expand with the workshop “Lock Designers” (+30 min):

After the tour, everything comes to life in the Castle Workshop. Here, students design a contemporary castle for a character. What does a castle of today look like? Or in the future? And what is needed for a comfortable home? An educational workshop that encourages children to think creatively and work together. The castle design workshop takes an additional 30 minutes or so.

Special education groups are welcome at the Muiderslot. We like to take into account the specific needs of students. A class is therefore divided into two groups by default, each with its own museum teacher.
