Guided Tour Life at the Muiderslot. Group 3-8

Varied work formats, playful empathy assignments and sensory experiences make history tangible and alive.
In this interactive tour, students dive into the colorful history of the castle, from the Middle Ages to the present. Together with our museum docents, students look for traces of former residents. They discover how people lived and worked in and around the castle. Are you working on the theme of the Middle Ages or the 17th century in your classroom? Let us know, so we can adapt the program accordingly.
Expand with the workshop “Lock Designers” (+30 min):
After the guided tour, everything comes to life in the Castle Workshop. Here, students design a modern castle for a character. What does a castle look like today? Or in the future? And what does it take to make a comfortable home? An educational workshop that encourages children to think creatively and work together. The “Castle Designers” workshop lasts about 30 minutes and is suitable for children in 4th grade and up.
Special education groups are warmly welcome at Muiderslot. We are happy to accommodate the specific needs of students. For this reason, a class is automatically divided into two groups, each with its own museum docent.
