For special education
Special education groups are welcome at the Muiderslot.
Every student learns differently.
At the Muiderslot, we like to take this into account. We take special education into account in our educational programs and match the abilities, interests and needs of the students as much as possible. Experience shows that each visit is customized.
Please note that we work with half classes per museum docent. This allows us to give students enough individual attention in small groups.
In consultation we look at what fits: in the castle, in the gardens or a combination of both. Peace, space and clear structure are key.
Do you have questions or specific needs? Please feel free to contact us. Together we will see how we can make the visit as enjoyable and meaningful as possible.
Preparing for the visit
For some students, it is nice to know in advance what to expect. Therefore, there is an introductory video that can be watched in class. In it, students are introduced to the museum docents, the arrival and the route through the castle. Thus, the visit begins already in the classroom.

Do you also offer customized programs?
Most schools can handle our theme programs. Please contact reserveringen@muiderslot.nl if there are any specific requirements, such as joining a project week, etc.
Is there room to eat a sandwich with students?
No food or drinks can be consumed during the program. Afterwards, the class can have their own brought food/drink outside on the grounds. Unfortunately, we do not have indoor space for this purpose.
