The Knights’ Hall, the beating and historic heart of the Muiderslot, exudes both luxury and intimacy. In the Middle Ages, important guests were received here by a blazing hearth and the lord of the castle sat for justice. In the 17th century the hall became famous as the meeting place of poet, writer and castle resident P.C. Hooft and the Muider Circle, where friends made music, wrote poetry and had discussions. A unique hall with a rich history, perfect for atmospheric dinners and gatherings.

Dine by candlelight among 17th-century paintings or begin the evening with a reception in the Castle Kitchen. During dinner there is room for music, stories or a brief commentary on the art and history. Other spaces, such as the Armory or the castle courtyard, can become part of the program for a rich experience.

The castle gardens, laid out in the 17th century by P.C. Hooft, form a green oasis around the Muiderslot. The beech leaf corridor (berceau) divides the garden into two parts. In the beech hedge are windows made. Through these windows you can look into the garden. On one side you will find the ‘Kruydhof’, the herb garden. On the other side you will find the ‘Warmoeshof’, the vegetable garden. A beautiful place for a ceremony or drinks. In the middle of these gardens is The Garden Room: a bright pavilion overlooking greenery and the castle. A serene place for dinners, receptions, weddings and parties.

Amidst the beautiful gardens of the Muiderslot, laid out in the 17th century by castle resident and poet P.C. Hooft, lies our museum café, The Garden Room. This modern, glass greenhouse offers a serene space with stunning views of the greenery and the castle and is ideal for dinners, receptions, company parties and get-togethers in a historic setting. The Garden Room can be rented out completely and offers numerous possibilities for your event. Thanks to our moveable furniture, the space can be easily transformed.

The former castle chapel is a subdued and characterful space in the Muiderslot. Formerly a place of contemplation, the space is now particularly suitable for small ceremonies, lectures and musical performances. The original pews and serene atmosphere make this space special.
