Job Opening: Content Marketer (20 hours per week)
Vacancy
As a Content Marketer, you bring stories to life. Using compelling images, videos, and text, you showcase what makes this place so unique. You create content for all our channels, helping a wide audience discover Muiderslot. You’ll take on your own projects, from concept to publication. The Marketing and Communications Advisor will serve as your manager and sounding board, working with you to chart the course.
What are you going to do?
- You’ll come up with, create, and post engaging content for our social media channels and website—from Reels and Stories to carousels and posts.
- You’ll combine text, images, and video into a cohesive whole that reflects the character of Muiderslot Castle.
- You gather stories from your colleagues and turn them into content that piques people’s curiosity.
- You quickly respond to current events and trends, and translate them into content that fits the Muiderslot.
- You’ll help brainstorm new content formats and ways to reach different target audiences.
- You analyze what works and use those insights to create new content.
- You will also create visuals and text for offline communications and simple printed materials in accordance with the corporate identity.
What do you bring?
- You’re creative and know how to tell stories in a way that resonates with a broad and diverse audience.
- You have experience creating content, for example, through an internship, a part-time job, your studies, or your own channels.
- You can film, take photos, and edit. You’re comfortable in front of the camera or behind the microphone.
- You’re familiar with social media platforms and keep up with what’s going on.
- You write clearly, engagingly, and accessibly, in Dutch and English, even without AI.
- You work independently and with attention to detail, even when things get busy.
- You’re flexible. The best stories happen when the castle is full of visitors. That’s why, in consultation with your supervisor, you’ll sometimes work in the evenings, on weekends, on holidays, or during school breaks.
- Experience in the cultural sector is a plus.
- You identify with our core values: tough, open, headstrong, and action-oriented.
What do we offer you?
- A job at a unique, historic location near Amsterdam.
- A dedicated, informal team with short lines of communication: you can see the impact of your work right away.
- A salary in accordance with the Museum Collective Bargaining Agreement, Scale 8 (minimum €3,317, maximum €4,212 per month for a 36-hour workweek). Your starting salary will depend on your experience.
- An 8% vacation bonus and a 3.4% year-end bonus.
- A one-year contract with the option to extend, starting January 1, 2027 (or as soon as possible thereafter).
- Travel expense reimbursement and a fully reimbursed OV-fiets bike. The Muiderslot is easily accessible by public transportation.
