Midsummer picknick

On June 21, we celebrate the beginning of summer! Starting at 6 PM, the gates of Muiderslot will open for the Midsummer Evening Picnic for the whole neighborhood! Bring friends or family and a well-filled picnic basket and come enjoy a summer evening full of fun and music in our plum orchard. Refreshments, beer, and wine will be available for purchase at our café.

Music will be provided by Douce Ambiance.

Douce Ambiance is a Gypsy Jazz collective inspired by the compositions of Django Reinhardt. The group approaches this swinging music in a stylish, playful manner and takes you back to the 1930s in Paris.

Douce Ambiance was formed in 2020 and has grown into a collective of 10 musicians, including both seasoned players and young musicians with a broad musical background ranging from Jazz to Klezmer. The lineup varies but usually consists of 2 guitars, double bass, and clarinet or violin.

With this solid musical foundation, they perform all over the country in various formations, making every event a great success!
