The first weekend of September 2022 is the Plum Weekend at Muiderslot castle. The plums, which grow in our plum orchard behind the castle, are then nicely ripe and juicy. A good reason to celebrate the harvest, right? Come along and enjoy delicious plum snacks and drinks, join a guided tour or enjoy the castle and gardens at your own pace.

Tasting

Cooking with plums: The historic plum varieties in the gardens of the Muiderslot are also loved by chefs throughout the Netherlands. You can use them in both desserts and savory dishes. So get inspired and come taste!

Guided tours

There are guided tours through the gardens that you can easily join. And of course these tours are all in the plum theme. Want to know more about the gardens? Then join a garden tour. Or are you in the mood for something completely different? Then join the ‘Unspeakable plums tour: Everything you never wanted to know about the Muiderslot’. A tour around the castle and the fortifications, which will bring you up to speed on everything that is dirty and ugly about the Muiderslot.
