“Voorleesdagen”

If people read to you, it’s fun and educational. Writer and castle resident P.C. Hooft already knew this in the 17th century, when he wrote many books and poems at Amsterdam Castle Muiderslot. During the Nationale Voorleesdagen, there will be read aloud in the castle.

Kids develop a better sense of language and learn to put themselves in other people’s shoes. What kind of stories are read aloud? You will find out once you get here!

Practical information

• Stories will be read in Dutch
• Fun for children aged up to 8
• Reading is between 13:00 and 15:00 in the castle chapel
• Everyone with a valid ticket to the castle is welcome to join.
