Muiderslot boasts a rich culinary history, which our castle chef is eager to share with you. During the tastings, you will be guided through the castle and its gardens (weather permitting), followed by a historical tasting session. Discover how castle residents cooked and what they ate in the past. What did the poor eat versus the rich? How were herbs from the garden used? What culinary stories do the castle’s paintings tell? And what was typically drunk with meals?

In these tastings, the castle chef will delve into the food culture of the Middle Ages and the 17th century, with each season featuring a different theme.
