Kids: make your own lantern

Once a month, you can join a creative workshop at Amsterdam Castle Muiderslot. We find a suiting theme and create something beautiful! This month we will make our own lampion out off natural materials from the castle garden.

Come to Muiderslot Castle to make a lantern from a bulb, a turnip or a pumpkin. First you discover why it has long been customary to make a lantern during the first weeks of November, during a walk through the autumnal gardens of the Muiderslot.  And why these lanterns were made from a turnip. Afterwards you will get to work making your own lantern. After the workshop you can take it home.

Practical information

• This workshop is 7,50 euros per child (entry ticket excluded).
• The creative workshop starts at 12:30 pm and takes about 1,5 hours.
• This workshop is suitable for kids between 6-12 years old.
• All materials are already in the castle. The (bilingual) museum teacher helps the kids.
