Oost meets West: discover Islam at Muiderslot

Who thinks about Muiderslot castle, doesn’t neccesarily think of Islam or the Arabic world. But make no mistake, influences from the Arabic world can be found in the castle and in the gardens…

Every Saturday in April, visit Muiderslot Castle for a special tour about the Islam in the castle. You can find the Arabic influences in for instance the tulips and the carpets. In the castle gardens you’ll find plants and herbs with an Arabic origin. In short; enough to tell and to see for a special themed tour.
